Fast-rising rock band Modern Cult is the brainchild of Augie Pink (Plastic Pinks) and Rod Wendt (Glove), longtime friends and musical collaborators in the South Florida music scene. The two played in the garage rock band Plastic Pinks together before Pink spent his COVID lockdown using '80s-era influences to craft the sound that would become Modern Cult. Modern Cult’s sonic vision and vibe draw inspiration from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Future Islands, Foreigner, and David Bowie.
